Pocket PC Edition, a commercial ready Linux operating environment optimized for handheld
devices. This release is based on open standards-based Linux and delivers a complete
solution for next generation handhelds including support for the Sharp Zaurus and Compaq
iPAQ.
Desktop/LX Pocket PC Edition is based on
the standard Linux kernel and supports wired, USB, infrared, and Wi-Fi (80211.b)
networking, including integration with Windows Networking via the Lycoris' Network Browser
application. A full featured Personal Information Management (PIM) suite offers
applications such as contact manager, to-do manager, calendar manager, and other key
productivity applications. Device input support includes gesture-based handwriting
recognition, on-screen keyboard, built-in touchscreen, pickboard, and a physical keyboard
on select devices. Playback of popular audio, video, and streaming media formats is
supported along with web-browsing for full HTML and CSS4 protocols and POP3 e-mail. The
software synchronizes with Lycoris' popular Desktop operating systems, including
